We Are Biological Machines...Infinite Being

The other day when I updated my computer's antivirus software, the new software notified me that there was another antivirus scan already downloaded and it may interfere with the new program; it even prompted me on how to remove it

So I did and the new software downloaded successfully.

While it was downloading I decide to purchase some new vitamins capsules called Chaga Mushrooms, and to do some more research on these mushrooms, and I came across an article that stated that Chaga Mushrooms may have an adverse reaction to some prescription drugs.
So I thought why is that?
Why would this natural vitamin cause an adverse reaction?

So what came to me was...

"For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction."

Chaga is like the new software you take its positive solution to heal self; it then enters the body and once there, recognizes that something else is already here.
And how do you physically recognize the old software?
By you physically getting sick, and
how does your body delete it?

You either throw it up or shit it out. Sometimes both…

I've come to believe that we are biological computers, we get viruses and if we do, we then download…
i.e. Eat, drink or inject some sort of antivirus remedy, whether it’s prescribed or holistic, for protection.

Therefore, it’s important that we are fully aware of what we take into our bodies.

We must always protect our Mind, Body and Soul.

Live Your Life...Growing Consciousness

Having Peace and Happiness in one’s life does not mean that there aren't other challenges, and just because one may have to face those other challenges, does not mean you are not happy.

Live your life... do good, and cause no harm.

The Blacker the Berry...Plant Based Diet

In an interview Mike Tyson said he wishes was born a vegan.
Not until I decided to change my eating habits and that of my family. That I truly appreciate and understand that statement.

Choosing a plant based diet is one of the best things I could have done for me and my family.
What I am learning about this chapter in my life is that, it forcing me to read labels, and prepare meals differently.
It’s a challenge that I think many of us, are afraid to do.
And many are not making enough time
In preparing our family meals, we would rather have it already chopped, cut up and seasoned.

In the past few years,
I’ve notice in the produce department, chopped onions, precut celery and other foods that takes not more than 5 minutes to do.

And why are there fat poor people, and why are prisoners that are doing hard time
I.E. death row inmates or long termers, more than 20 years, are dying from the same diseases found on the outside:
Among prisoner deaths from 2001 to 2010, cancer and heart disease together accounted for about half of all illness-related deaths…

We are spending a lot of time sitting and not moving…
we sit behind computers, we are sitting in our cars commuting back and forward to work,
school, and activities…
Most of the walking most people are doing is from the parking lot to their car. Our life style does not match the food intact most people consume and that is why so many are unhealthy, and  dying.
But I digress....

Purple Potatoes...

"The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice."

That's a statement I've heard more than once in my life.
And there is a lot of truth to it!
Through my research I've discovered that
most of the darker plants are filled with the most
anti-everything...

Here are some interesting  facts about Purple Potatoes:
Blue or purple varieties have an additional benefit in that they contain more and higher levels of flavonoids.
Flavonoids are compounds which are found in the color pigments of fruits and vegetables. They provide us with antioxidant protection against chronic disease.
In one study the University of Oslo in Norway found blue potatoes to have more than double the level of antioxidant rich flavonoids than either white fleshed or sweet potatoes. One of the many flavonoids found in blue or purple colored potatoes are anthocyanins. The interest and research into anthocyanins has been growing in recent years. They are anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and anti-cancer. They also help neutralize damaging free radicals and may reduce the risk of heart disease.
Although blue potatoes are a good source of anthocyanins, the most abundant source of anthocyanins in the western diet is strawberries, blueberries, grapes and red wine.

Purple Carrots

Purple carrots are even higher in antioxidants than orange carrots, and they also possess anti-inflammatory properties. This could make them very useful in the treatment of arthritis. They have been found to be antiviral, antiseptic and antimicrobial, and they also contain anticarcinogens and betacarotenes. They also contain phytochemicals including carotenoids, polyacetylenes, isocoumarins, phenolics and sesquiterpenes. Phytochemicals have antioxidant, anti-bacterial, and other disease preventative and health enhancing properties...

Much to do About Nothing...

When I first created this blog it was named Mingz Natural Hair Journey…
And it was a place for me to post ideas, which I seen and later could come back to them and attempt
Many of these ideas, from natural hair to DIY projects, and some other things I found interesting.
Well, I've decided to get back to blogging and this time to do it on a regular. ~rolls eyes~
We shall see.
And who, this blog will be much to do about nothing…and there will be plenty of those.
Hell it’s my blog and I can do what I want right??
Damn right.
Well with that in mind here are some warnings:
I have a crude sense of humor. I am sarcastic, I have curse jar and I use it often, I believe in conspiracies and I have two imaginary friends…
I enjoy my weirdness; I've seen normal people and they are NUTS!
Well to wrap this up, this blog will be, as eclectic (like how I got that in there) as the world is.
Thanks for stopping by…

Enjoy.

An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large farm for several years.

He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed
it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over.

He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, 'we're not coming out until you leave!'

The old man frowned, 'I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.'

Holding the bucket up he said,
'I'm here to feed the alligator...'

My Garden of love...2012

I decided this year was the year to do another garden. I enjoy gardening; it’s a pleasure to wake up every morning to see how big my plants are getting.
Today I am sharing with you my garden and the front yard garden. I began planting late, but here in the south it was colder longer than usual. At any rate my garden is coming along really well.
This is not my first time planting a garden; I had a garden back in 1995, however then
I was growing squash, Okra, and tomatoes.
This time around, I put in my 4X10ft box, watermelon, cantaloupe, corn, green beads, a strawberry plant (picked up at my local farmer market) and collards.
Bet you’re thinking “WOW that’s a lot.”
And you are correct. LOL
Especially for such a small box, need-less-to-say, I had to DOWN size my garden.
So far so good…

Gardening is fun, and therapeutic especially if you have quit smoking
like I have, 12 weeks now.
WHOOT WHOOT!
Try it, take it one second at a time!
