My Garden_Update Herbs, Cantaloupe and Green Peppers Update

Dill Plant Flowering

I have really been enjoying this summers gardening.
I have so many sweet banana peppers I don't know what to do with.
I ordered some fish fertilizer and I mix that with my compost tea, and a little dark molasses and WOWZA!!
my garden is doing  A LOT better.
I am growing some Moon and Stars Watermelon and it is a slow growing, but as soon as I fed her and the others
my special blend they begin to produce a lot more growth.

Tangy Sweet Tangerine Juicing Recipe ~For Family of 5~ Black Folks Eating Right

I have always enjoyed tangerines, but I have never juiced them until recently and wanted to share a juice recipe that I have been experimenting with.
This recipe will make about a gallon of juice.

12 Golden Delicious Apples
2 Leafs of Kale
1 Raw Beet (with leafs)
1 Pineapple
1 Grapefruit (hence the tangy)
Handful of Fresh Spinach

This juice recipe is delicious and one of my favorites to date.
The tangerines with the pineapples really makes this juice sweet.
Pineapples are great at masking the kale and beets.

Raw Tacos Recipe~Black Folks Eating Right

One of the fast food staples in our home use to be Taco Bell.
I had a hankering for tacos, so I found a simple recipe and of course add my own little
s’mthang… s’mthang”

What you will need is:
Food Processor

Soaked Black Beads*

¾ cup diced red chili pepper

1.5 raw sweet corn cobs

½ small-med red onion

1 medium ripe avocado

½ -1 tbsp lemon juice

8-10 red or green lettuce leaves

Instructions:

Diced the red chili peppers and onion and transfer into a bowl
Rinse and drain black beans and pour them into the bowl.
** I find that soaking my black beans overnight makes them tender.
Cut corn off the cob and mix into the beans, chili pepper and onions
~~Place avocado and lemon juice into a food processor and mix until it is smooth and creamy
 Serve

This juice recipe will fill
 2, two Gallon containers
You will need:
2 Oranges
2 containers of Blueberries
2 containers of Strawberries
2 Stocks of Kale
1 Large Carrot

This juice recipe is so good, it’s sweet and tangy, just what your tongue craves.
I think the blue berries are what make this juice so sweet.

I cannot wait till the summer; I want to do a lemon, watermelon, strawberry juice, for starters…

Make sure you click the link to each fruit, and vegetable in this recipe to see the benefits
